Girl Friday Weddings

If only Girl Friday Weddings were around when I got married.

I work in the Wedding industry, so I knew what I wanted when I got married, I also understood the terminology, knew where to go for the best suppliers and knew how to plan and schedule a Wedding. However, the one thing I forgot to take into account is that as hard as I tried I couldn't be a Bride and a Wedding Planner / Organiser at the same time.

While I was getting ready for the Ceremony I was worrying whether my venue had put the Place Cards in the right spaces, if the Centrepieces looked they way I wanted, ensuring that all of our guests made it to the Wedding (majority were from interstate) and it goes on, instead of enjoying one of the best days of my life.


I arranged as much as I possibly could, organised for my Mum to deliver and sort out the Centrepieces, and had my husband-to-be doing the best he could to make sure everything was perfect. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have aimed for perfection and should have prepared myself for not everything to go to plan. However, I also really needed someone on my side, who knew what was important to my fiance and I to ensure the important details were looked after.
